About the event

Two days. 36 holes. One unforgettable week.

Battle for The Ridge brings together up to 32 high school golf teams for a spring tournament unlike anything else on the calendar. Set in the heart of North Carolina at Holly Ridge Golf Links, teams play two full rounds on one of the region's most distinctive tracks — a genuine bucket-list round in its own right.

It is a week where your team bonds in a new environment, lines up against top programs from across the country, and walks away with memories that last long after the scorecard is filed. Friday night brings the whole field together for a skills contest and team dinner right at Holly Ridge.

The field draws from coast to coast. Coaches bring their squads from throughout the Southeast and from states as far as Texas and California. If you want your players to experience elite competition on an elite course, this is your event.

Holly Ridge Golf Links

Archdale, NC · Public · Designed by Jim Bivens

Holly Ridge is home to the entire tournament. A links-inspired layout with rolling mounds, sculpted fairways, and wide-open sightlines, it is one of the more visually distinctive tracks in central North Carolina. The course plays firm and fast in spring conditions, rewarding ball-strikers who work the ground game. At a slope of 136 from the tips, everyone is tested from the very first tee — and again in Saturday's championship round. Holly Ridge also hosts the Friday evening skills contest and team dinner, making it the social centerpiece of the entire event.
